Once again the duo "Márcio Kabeça" and "Juninho" - father and son - stood out in the national Ultimate Drift competition which took place on September 10 and 11, at Ayrton Senna Racetrack in Londrina (PR).
In this 3rd stage of the Brazilian Drift Championship, Juninho won the race and is now in fourth place overall in the championship. Juninho, who last year made his debut as a driver in a race approved by the CBA (Confederação Brasileira de Automobilismo), competing in the Ultimate Light – access category for new drivers, and becoming Brazilian champion, which allowed him to enter the Pro category, for professionals, now wins another stage and is in contention for the title.
Already his father, the consecrated pilot Márcio Kabeça, in this stage he was in fifth place, which gave him the second place overall in the championship. “I celebrated my birthday a lot this year, which was on September 11, I got a gift, going up to the podium with my son, seeing him having fun, enjoying the sport, it was very gratifying”, says Kabeça enthusiastically.
The first stage of the Brazilian Drift Championship took place in Piracicaba (SP), and Kabeça was in first place, in the second stage, in Brasília, he was in the top 16, and now with fifth place, he is in second place overall in the Championship. “There are still two stages to go, one in Rio Grande do Sul and the final in São Paulo, I'm in the fight for this year's Bichampionship and Juninho is also in the running”, says driver Marcio Kabeça.
The pair of drivers had the support of PneuStore, Motul, Injepro, Master Power, Interfilm, Folego Turbo, Latina Filmes, Ncoelho, Wd40, Impacto Suspensões, Cecé Preparações.
